You may be living with anxiety, feeling emotionally exhausted, struggling in relationships, navigating loss, questioning your sense of identity, or finding it difficult to cope with the pressures of work and everyday life. You might simply know that something doesn’t feel quite right.
Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and better understand yourself.
Myvanwy A. P. Evans-Davis
Counselling & Psychotherapy MA, MBACP
I am a qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist (MA) and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I provide a warm and confidential space where we can explore your experiences together at your own pace. Whether you are facing a specific difficulty or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, therapy can help you make sense of what feels confusing, develop healthier ways of coping, and move towards lasting emotional wellbeing.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I spent more than twenty five years working in leadership, communications and cultural strategy. This experience has given me a particular understanding of the pressures faced by professionals, leaders, entrepreneurs and people working in the creative industries.
My practice is open to everyone. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, cultures, professions and walks of life, and work with compassion and respect. Whether you are seeking support through a difficult period or wanting to understand yourself more deeply, I offer a space to reflect, grow and create meaningful change.

About Me

Therapy Services

1
Individuals
Individual therapy offers a confidential space to explore whatever is affecting your emotional wellbeing. Together we can work through anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, self esteem, identity, burnout, or periods of change and uncertainty.
Therapy can also provide an opportunity to deepen self awareness, understand recurring patterns, and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

3
Young People - this service is for 16+ and will be available soon
Adolescence and early adulthood can bring unique emotional and social challenges.
I provide a safe, supportive space for young people 16+ to explore anxiety, confidence, friendships, family relationships, identity, academic pressures, social media and life transitions.
Therapy helps young people develop emotional resilience, strengthen self understanding, and feel better equipped to navigate the demands of everyday life.

2
Couples
Relationships can be deeply rewarding, but they can also become challenging when communication breaks down or life places pressure on the partnership.
Couples therapy offers a supportive, impartial space to better understand one another, strengthen communication, rebuild trust and work through conflict together. Whether you are navigating change, separation, intimacy, or recurring patterns, therapy can help create new understanding and connection.

Approach
My work is grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy, a therapeutic approach that explores how our past experiences, relationships and unconscious patterns continue to influence how we think, feel and relate to others today. Together we create a space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of experiences that may feel confusing, painful, or difficult to put into words. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, psychodynamic therapy seeks to understand the deeper emotional patterns beneath them, helping to create meaningful and lasting change. Every therapeutic relationship is unique. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each individual. I work with curiosity, compassion, and respect, allowing therapy to develop at a pace that feels right for you. I have particular experience supporting professionals working in high pressure environments, including leaders, entrepreneurs, executives, and those in the creative industries. However, my practice is open to everyone. My aim is to help you develop greater self awareness, emotional resilience, healthier relationships, and a stronger connection with yourself.

FAQs
What happens in
the first session?
The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll explore what has brought you to therapy, what you hope to gain from the process, and whether we feel we’re the right fit to work together.
How long is a
therapy session
and how often
will we meet?
Sessions are 50 minutes and usually take place weekly, although this can be discussed depending on your circumstances and therapeutic needs. Weekly sessions are generally recommended as they provide continuity and allow the therapeutic work to develop. We can discuss what feels appropriate for you during our initial consultation.
How long does
therapy last?
There is no fixed answer. Some people seek therapy for a specific period of time, while others benefit from longer term work. This depends on your circumstances, goals and what we discover together.
Is therapy
confidential?
Yes. Everything discussed in therapy is treated with the strictest confidence in accordance with professional and ethical guidelines. There are a small number of legal and safeguarding exceptions, which will always be explained clearly at the beginning of our work together.
Are sessions online
or in person?
Sessions are currently available online, with in person appointments becoming available soon.
How do I know
if psychotherapy
is right for me?
You do not need to have a specific diagnosis or be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Some people come because they are struggling with something particular, while others simply have a sense that something is not quite right and want to understand themselves more deeply.
An initial consultation gives us an opportunity to talk about what you are experiencing and consider whether psychotherapy feels appropriate for you.
